Earth Goddess Rising's blog has moved to Substack.
This move gives my writing a new home, one that can hold more depth, more regular sharing, and a closer connection with those who want to walk this path with me. On Substack, I now have three different publications, each with its own focus and creative current.
One of them is devoted to the work closest to the heart of EGR INTL: sacred travel, spiritual pilgrimages, and the kind of exploration that reminds us who we are and our place in this magnificent garden planet, we call Earth.
That is the publication and community I am inviting you to join today.
Why We Are Moving
Earth Goddess Rising will remain here, the only thing that is changing is we are moving our blog over to Substack as Living Journeys Travel; this will be a devoted space for spiritual travel, a place to speak about pilgrimages, not just travel in itself. A place to gather around ancient sites, esoteric traditions, ancestral memory, beauty, and the mystery that rises when we step onto sacred ground with reverence and intention.
A simple blog post can hold a teaching, a reflection, or an announcement. But this work asks for something more spacious now. It asks for letters. Stories. Field notes. Invitations. Community updates. Travel reflections. Personal essays. Sacred site writings. Behind-the-scenes glimpses of how pilgrimages and gatherings come together.
Substack offers that kind of space.
It allows me to write directly to those who want to receive these offerings. It allows readers to subscribe, follow along, comment, share, and support the work in a simple way. It also allows each publication to have its own clear identity, which matters because my writing now moves through more than one stream.
Still, the heart of Earth Goddess Rising remains the same. The move is about making the connection stronger, while leaving the roots intact.
The Living Journeys Travel publication carries the heart of Earth Goddess Rising
Our vision has always centered around sacred gatherings and spiritual pilgrimages. That work now continues through my Substack publication dedicated to spiritual travel. Sacred travel is not static. Pilgrimage unfolds in real time. A trip may begin as an itinerary, but it becomes something else once the pull to join a group of like minded individuals starts speaking to our subconscious. A gathering may begin with a theme, but it deepens through the people who arrive. A sacred site may be known through books, but it reveals itself differently when the body is actually there, breathing with the place.
I want to share more of that living journey process. Not only polished summaries, but the movement within the path itself.

A spiritual pilgrimage is not ordinary travel.
It begins before the plane ticket, before the packing list, before the first step on foreign soil. It begins when something inside whispers, go there. It begins when a place starts calling through dreams, books, conversations, synchronicities, or a deep ache you cannot quite explain.
It invites us to slow down and come into relationship with land. It asks us not to consume a place, but to meet it. To bring offerings. To walk with respect. To feel the stories beneath our feet. To remember that sacred sites are not backdrops for our lives. They are living presences with their own guardianship, histories, and powers.
That is the kind of travel I will continue to write about on Substack.

It will include writing that is both practical and mystical. I want it to be useful for those planning sacred travel, but also nourishing for those who may be journeying inward from home.

I will share stories from the road, from temples, ruins, shrines, landscapes, and places where the veil feels thin.
These writings may not read like standard travel guides. They will hold the felt sense of a place. The quiet details. The moment when the wind changes. The way a chapel, cave, waterfall, or ancient path can open something in the psyche.
Sacred travel is full of outer movement, but the real story often happens within.
Example of Pilgrimage preparation
A pilgrimage asks for more than planning.
Yes, there are practical things to consider: where to stay, what to bring, how much physical walking may be involved, and how to prepare for group travel. But there is also inner preparation. We can begin by asking ourselves questions, and writing down our answers in a journal.
What am I being called toward?
What am I ready to leave behind?
What is this place asking me to see, feel, or remember?
What am I willing to open myself to?
What do I hope to receive—and what am I prepared to give?
What offering can I bring to this place and its story?
What might I return home carrying that I did not arrive with?
How do I travel in a way that honors the people, culture, and traditions of the place?
I will write about these layers often, because they shape the experience deeply.
Sacred gathering, community & Earth wisdom
There is a special power in gathering with others around a shared spiritual purpose. When we come together with sincerity, the journey becomes more than a series of destinations—it becomes a container for connection, reflection, and transformation.
We witness one another. We sing, walk, pray, listen, laugh, and sometimes cry. We remember that spiritual life is not only private. It can also be communal, embodied, and rooted in place.
My Other Substack Publications Are Also Open to You
Although this post focuses on my sacred pilgrimage publication, I want you to know that I now have three publications on Substack, each with its own genre and creative voice.
The spiritual travel publication is the natural continuation of this work. This is where I’ll share my work around sacred gathering, pilgrimages, and Earth-honoring journeys.
