How can we best take care of ourselves as women and let go of the stress that builds up in our bodies?
This has been a difficult period for many people. Following political unrest, lockdowns, restrictions, and rule changes, it's understandable to feel a little anxious. Re-entry anxiety, chronic stress, and post-pandemic stress disorder are all real, and they could be making you nervous about returning to life as you once knew it.
Self-care is so important, especially for women. It's a time to focus on ourselves and what we need to feel our best. We're all different, so there isn't one right way to do self-care - you have to find what works best for you.
Here are some ideas to help you unwind, relax, and create more space for your own divine feminine energy.
Get a massage, reiki or chakra balancing session to move stagnant energy.
Take a bath with Epsom salts and lavender oil (or your preferred essential oils).
Drink more water to stay hydrated and energized.
Eat a healthy, high vibe breakfast every morning and take better care of yourself by eating healthy, whole food.
Clear your space - declutter, get rid of the old, dead weight that may be holding you back. There is magic in tidying up!
Exercise for at least 30 minutes each day - pick your favorite way to move! Dance, hike, bike, yoga, kayak or standup paddleboard. The point is to just move.
Practice yoga or meditation.
Get some fresh air by going for a walk, forest bathing, or visiting a nearby body of water.
Write down 3 things you are grateful for, or start a daily journaling practice.
Spend time with friends, family, or alone doing something you enjoy. Or, take a vacation with like-minded women and explore a new place!
Live in the moment - don't worry about what's happening next week or next month, just live in this current moment.
Get lost in a feel-good book, an inspirational movie, or documentary once in a while.
Create an altar for a sacred space in your home. Having an altar in your home is one way in which you can connect to the sacred and your spirituality on a daily basis.
Achieve some of those goals! Whatever you've been thinking about accomplishing, get that to-do list or manifestation journal out and work on checking those boxes. No matter how big or small they are.
